From an early age, everyday life and the disassociation of placed me in a constant state of survival; life felt like a fantasy and reality was uncertain.
Longing for freedom, the relentless search for happiness, and coming to terms with your own sexuality in a repressive environment are themes I continuously address within my art.
References I often take are those in slow cinema, coming-of-age, psychology, and self- documentation.
I use photography and cinema as a language to find and construct images that reconcile me with the constant drone of thoughts that keep my past hostage and force me to remain inside my head.
My projects tend to develop themselves in familiar spaces, both physical and imaginary which include people with specific aesthetic traits commonly associated with weakness.
